About Youth Project

Youth Projectとは
What is Youth Project?
Youth Project = " I want to try something like this "
This is a place for youth to take on challenges .

Hippo youth between the ages of 18 and 30 will form project teams and take the initiative in running the project.

The project content is wide-ranging, and the participants will share ideas born from their own experiences of multilingualism and international exchange with the project members.

The frequency of activities varies depending on the project.

Why that age group ?
The ages 18-30 are a time when major changes occur in life.
It is easy to generate free thoughts and ideas that are not bound by fixed ideas.

This is a time when your life environment changes drastically: entering university, studying abroad, getting a job, changing jobs, getting married, having children, etc. Your range of activities expands, you come into contact with more people, and your world literally expands.

Because this is the case, their experiences, sensibilities, and thoughts are diverse and change from moment to moment to adapt to their rapidly changing life stages .

By outputting the ideas of the ever-changing youth generation, "What I want to do," as project activities, diverse ideas intersect and new value is created one after another.

What is important at Youth Project?

Put into words

They output their ideas, reflect on projects and self-evaluate, always asking themselves "what is this? why?", and proceed with their activities by talking to others and writing things down.

Anyone can participate in the output event

Incorporating diverse perspectives into output leads to the creation of new value. In that sense, we always value having an "open space." We always consider the space for output to be one in which anyone can participate, regardless of age, gender, nationality, or language.

Be independent

Rather than acting because someone told you to, it is important to always think about "what you want to do and how you want to be." By making your ideas concrete and putting them into practice, you can gain valuable, trustworthy colleagues who are not dependent on each other. Also, putting your ideas into practice leads to self-realization, problem solving, and the ability to work together with people who have different opinions, which leads to personal growth.

If you have something you want to do at Youth Project,

Write a proposal and send it to the management department!

It doesn't have to be too formal, as long as you can convey your enthusiasm and the purpose of the activity! (We may ask additional questions to confirm that it is really what you want to do!)

I want to do something, but it's vague

I don’t know how to manage it

I don’t know how to write a business plan.

If you have any worries like that, let's talk to the Youth Coordinator! (The Management Department will introduce you to the Youth Coordinator.)

They will work with you to think about it, so if there's something you want to do, be sure to make it a project!
