What is Multilingual Youth Camp?
MYC is a two-day, overnight, residential, multilingual exchange program aimed at youth between the ages of 18 and 30!
At MYC, we have two goals: 1) For the youth generation to talk about their experiences and values about things they find interesting in their lives, thereby creating new value in things; 2) For the youth generation to share their discoveries as experiences, be inspired by each other, and create new discoveries and learnings, thereby bringing about new changes in Hippo's multilingual environment and their own development.

A place for "creation," "sharing," and "discovery."
Creativity: Create and challenge your own path through learning and discovery
Share: Share the experiences gained from the challenge
Discovery: Learning and discovering new things from shared experiences
We believe that by repeating this process, we can create new ways to enjoy Hippo and gain new perspectives on the relationship between language and humans!
What do we do in MYC?
Background of the creation of MYC
Behind the Scenes of MYC
The current situation is that the youth generation stops or is unable to come to Hippo events when they reach milestones in their lives, such as entering university or becoming a working adult.
The youth generation felt that this was very sad and wanted everyone, both those who enjoyed Hippo and those who were far away, to get together again and have fun playing Hippo.
The youth generation has activities such as WIP, Unilon, LMP, university student WS, joint research, etc. While some members are active in these activities, others have important lives outside of Hippo activities.
However, because what everyone sees and feels is different in each location, there is the potential for a chemical reaction to occur when people come into contact with Hippo again and talk about their experiences.
I hope that many young people across the country will connect with each other, influence each other, and make new discoveries.
I hope that by continuing to make these discoveries, each person will find their own unique Hippo.
This feeling led to the 0th LiP training camp and then to the current MYC.
If we can share and enjoy the chemistry of the youth generation with multiple generations through MYC, I'm sure even greater discoveries will await us!

We are looking for MYC creators to connect the whole country!
Become aMYC creator and get excited about the preparation period!
MYC is twice as fun as it used to be!
\What does a creator do?/
From the overall theme of MYC,
The content and progress of each program, etc.
To ensure that participants have as much fun as possible at camp,
We all came up with lots of ideas,
We will create an environment where we can advance preparations together with the participants!
The next MYC will be...
October 12-13 , 2024 @Tokyo
*The age group for MYC participants is 18 to 30 years old.
That's right!!
History
Our history
・LiP training camp (0th)
In 2015, core members of youth projects from around the country gathered together and, after some fierce debate, became convinced that they could work together to carry out new activities. This meeting was the beginning of MYC.
・University Student Workshop
When a large number of youth gather, doesn't it just end as a gathering of friends and fun? Is there any point in doing it? These questions were answered by the success of this workshop.
Thus, the realization of the Youth Camp became more realistic, and the proposal for the Youth Camp that was submitted again after the WS was approved, and the event was made a reality.
Since then, MYC has continued to involve friends from all over the country, driven by the strong desire of the youth generation, and has been held three times to date, with the fourth event currently underway.
